Watersports are a great activity choice for all ages, and there's plenty of options in the Cairngorm National Park.
Whether you're a seasoned paddleboarder or want to take the family on the water for the first time, the Cairngorms have got you covered.
Loch Morlich and Loch Insh are just 15 minutes from The Shelter Stone and have everything you might need to get out on the water. Both watersports centres have equipment to hire by the hour, day or half day - including paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, wetsuits and buoyancy aids. Lessons are available for children and adults too if you want help to get started, or improve your technique.
If you have it, you can also take your own equipment to some of the beautiful lochs in the area, including Loch an Eilein and Loch Vaa.
And for the more adventurous amongst us, you could try canyoning or white water rafting, or go on a guided trip with one of the local suppliers such as Active Outdoor Pursuits , Glenmore Lodge or Full on Adventure, G2 Outdoors and EM Paddlesports who will take you to all the bests spots, teach you new skills and keep you safe.
