There's so many things to do when visiting Aviemore, with lots of activities available that'll suit the whole family. These are some of our most popular things to do.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park
Landmark is an obvious choice as it has something for everyone. From water slides and climbing frames, butterfly house to bamboozeleum, sky dive and Networx! A visit to Landmark will keep you busy all day.
Highland Wildlife Park
The Highland Wildlife Park is only a short drive from The Shelter Stone. There's a vast array of animals to visit as well as An Saobhaidh, the new conservation den where you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the landscape and wildcat enclosure.
Loch Garten, Abernethy
The forests at Loch Garten have some lovely little trails suitable for all ages, which wind down towards the lochs. They also have their Nature Centre which is open all summer. Here you can view the osprey nests and kids can play with the interactive displays and VR.
Water sports at Loch Morlich
Loch Morlich is the perfect perfect for chilling out in the summer, although it can get a little busy. The lovely beach is perfect for picnicking and you can hire paddleboards, kayaks and canoes from the centre. There's also a little café upstairs if you need refreshment.
Karting
Karting is popular with kids of all ages. Situated just to the north of Aviemore, Aviemore Kart Raceway is really easy to get to by car or on foot. They have karts suitable for most ages, with those as young as four able to share a tandem kart with an adult and get in on the action on the main track too. Kids age 3+ can use their smaller battery powered karts on their dedicated track.
