Fancy a treat?
With half term around the corner, it’d be rude not to give a shout out to two of the children’s favourite shops – Miele’s Gelateria and Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe. They will be begging you to visit both!
Mr Simms shop is bursting with goodies. They have a huge pick and mix counter from which you can choose anything you want and the staff will bag it up for you. The choice is huge and it can take some time! They also have loads of traditional sweeties including rhubarb rock, sherbet lemons and bon bons which are my favourites. But they also stock fudges, liquorice, giant lollipops, toffee….. If you can imagine it, they probably have it. It’s a dream for kids of all ages!
Just along the road is the ice cream shop. Their counter stocks all sorts of ice cream and sorbet flavours – up to 24 at any time. From traditional vanilla, to the more unusual Pear and Parmesan, there will be a flavour for everyone. And they have the best waffle cones ever, which are topped with things like honeycomb and sprinkles. If that’s not enough, you can even top it off with extra sauce! If ice cream isn’t your thing, don't worry you won't be left out. They also stock delicious Italian pastries, waffles and donuts, as well as coffee, soup and sandwiches. It's a real treat.
