There are many peaceful spots in the Cairngorm Nation Park, however, I discovered a new one yesterday.

Linda of Sauna Cairngorms has relocated her loch woodfired sauna to the banks of Loch Alvie, near Aviemore and you won't be disappointed!

The views are spectacular. Park at the Rowan Tree Hotel and wander the five minutes down to the loch, where you can enjoy a wild swim followed by a hot sauna. I know many of you will love this.

The Shelter Stone is a large self-catering holiday rental house, located in Aviemore in the Highlands of Scotland.

A traditional stone-built lodge, the family-friendly house sleeps up to 13 across 6 bedrooms.
