It's been a long wait (somewhat impatiently!) but the Cairngorm Mountain Railway is back in operation!

The railway is Scotland’s only funicular railway. It carries visitors 2km up the slopes, to the Ptarmigan building at the top, at 1,065m.

Here you will find the UK's highest restaurant, a 270° immersive exhibition space and viewing platform. The new restaurant has floor to ceiling windows so you can enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains.

The Shelter Stone is a large self-catering holiday rental house, located in Aviemore in the Highlands of Scotland.

A traditional stone-built lodge, the family-friendly house sleeps up to 13 across 6 bedrooms. The dramatic landscape of the Cairngorms National Park surrounds Aviemore, which is easily accessible by road and rail - and ideally situated for winter and summer breaks, skiing holidays, walking weekends, golf trips and whisky distillery tours.
